Maybe is this problem that you have serial version with RS232->USB adapter... Can you try USB adapter?
@Zerach: what version do you have RS232 or USB?
@MarcelP: If you want you can send it to me and I can test it if work ok and then I send it back to you...

Hi Dejan and MarcelP,
I'm having some problems with the forum finally switched the viewing modes now I can see the actual threads past June!
So are both of you using USB!? It was suggested by ZootJeff that I use the FDTI to TTL USB adapters, but I have to send back my PS again as the firmware's been wiped out by my RS232 brainstem.
My main goal is to get a cable from the back of the Case to the ports serial or USB and at this point I'd recommend that serial RS232 is NOT the way to go with it. I've wiped out the firmware twice now on 2 different DSATX PS.
Does your adapters create a virtual COM port?
What do you guys think about me posting a plugin with a disclaimer to use\test at your own risk and giving out the read only version of the plugin? It won't wipe out the firmware but it can\will cause Centrafuse to freeze on loading if the plugin isn't handling the communications well.
So I'll get a package ready and post so you guys can see the work and I'll do the remote debugging of the plugin until my setup is back up and running. I've delayed it too much but I'm hoping I can release what I got with a message to uninstall if it's causing problems. I hate releasing bad code but I think if the communication through is good there should be few problems with it.
Stay tuned I'll post it in my sig, not on the forums plugin download, until it's solid.

Hello,
I use the Brainstem directly attached at the Motherboard. -> works also very uncertainly!
Then, I have an adapter (produces a virtual Com-Port). -> works also very bad!
(Already if I attach the Brainstem to the DSATX give it problems, I need the Brainstem not at the PC to attach.)
Here is a Picture from my Brainstem connected to Com-Adapter (from M-CAB, look here: M-Cab Homepage ).
Now I will probably try the TTL USB cable. Perhaps I have thereby more luck. I had also twice my firmware damaged! I had to write the firmware twice again on the DSATX!
.
Perhaps Zootjeff has a new firmware which we times test could?!
.

How did you write the firmware on the DSATX?! Did you return it to zootjeff or do it yourself?
