Lap-time Racing Plugin - Release 2 Out 23/04/2010

Hey all,

Lap-time is now released for both CF2.1 and 3.1 and is available for download from both the website at:
Lap-Time
and here at
Centrafuse Carputer, CarPC & UMPC Forums - Centrafuse Downloads - Lap-Time 2 (CF3.1)
Centrafuse Carputer, CarPC & UMPC Forums - Centrafuse Downloads - Lap-Time Racing Plugin (CF2.1)

I highly recommend you register before installing and using the plugin as you'll get some extra benefits out of using your account online

So what does it do? This plugin is intended to allow you to race your car around a track which you can record yourself, giving you split, lap and finish times. details are as follows:

General run down of features so far:
- 3 Track Types; Circuit, Sprint and Rally
Cicuit: A race in which the finish line is also the start line, can race any number of laps
Sprint: Start Line is not Finish line, no laps available
Rally: No pre-defined track, guidance to checkpoints is given by an arrow, popup messages optional for each checkpoint including start and finish
- Tracks are drawn onto the screen dynamically so you can see the track you are creating
- Not limited to roads, tracks are drawn on raw GPS data
- All racing gives split/lap times
- Tracks stored as XML for easy sharing, also exportable as KML for integration with Google Earth/Maps
- Replays can also be saved (not replayable yet)
- Profile is recorded to include your best lap times for each track
- Performance testing: Quarter Mile, Mile, 0-100kmph and Top Speed Tests

Requirements:
- GPS Reciever
- Centrafuse 2.0
- Optional: Port Replicator

Here are some oldish WIP pics (So far there are 11 different screens within the plugin):

fantastic, love to test this but at the moment I am still building my vehicle, car computer etc. But this looks like a really useful addition, particularly the rally feature which I think would suit my needs.

I could certainly run some basic testing using my laptop and gps data in my other car

Is there an Aura version of this plugin? Also, do you need the nav version of Centrafuse for this to work with a GPS receiver? I really want to try this out!

Hey Diablo...I know you sent me the Alpha a while back but I was unable to test due to issues with the Nav and OBDII. Those issues are now solved and I am ready to test! I will post results shortly! Also any word on when we will have multicar support? I think it will be great and give racers a video game look.
