The plugin is not ready yet, although it sounds like its really getting there.

Shame about com0com not working on windows 7. If you have 2 com ports you could use a physical null modem cable between the two to get the emulator working.

Glad that progress is being made. Cant wait to see the skins being worked on.

I have pretty new notebook(HP 6930p) which doesn't have COMPorts but if I connect it to docking station then I have one COM Port.
When Im try com0com Im download com0com-2.2.1.0-i386-fre.zip and install it. but today Im see that there is new version com0com-2.2.2.0-i386-fre.zip so I will try it again...

No. From test received by fraser Im see that problem for 100% CPU is "drawing picture".
CF_setPictureImage() is reason for CPU overload, this has been reported from one other developer too...

Obviously you don't care detecting laser/radar coming from the rear. So in your experience it's not worth it? Or do you use another unit/jammer (maybe cheaper?) in the rear bumper?

I have a Beltronics RX75 with remote mount front and rear laser detectors and in 3 months, the only time I've every had the laser warning fire, the motorcycle cop was sitting a half block ahead and pointing right at me. Nothing I could have done if I had been speeding. According to what I've read, lasers are almost always used against on-coming traffic and at very close range.

As for radar from the rear, there is more than enough reflected energy from vehicles ahead to set it off. I've driven past a highway patrol car parked on the side of the road and gotten good warnings a 1/2 mile before and nearly a quarter mile past the cruiser.

I have the RX75 standard, which does not include the laser jammers. From what I have read, the Beltronics (and Excort - same electronics, different box) jammers are OK, but a little behind the times technology-wise.

It appears there's a LOT of law-suit activity in the mid-priced jammer market and a number of companies have closed their doors. With the exception of some higher-priced units, nothing out there gives more than 3 stars out of five performance.

The funniest review I read was for Rocky Mountain Radar's supposed laser jammer. They said taking the unit off the dash and replacing it with the empty cardboard box it came in had a bigger effect on laser range than the unit did. ALL Rocky Mountain Radar products are fakes. They do not work, and with regards to the jammers, do not contain any electronics capable of jamming anything. Hard to believe the guys selling them are not in jail.

It would be fun to test a good blocker some time to see what they REALLY do.

I'm trying to research something on the subject, after the last ticket my insurance went through the roof. I'm narrowing it down to the V1 or the Escort 9500, but 1. I'm concerned about false alarms with the v1; 2. Lasers are so fast, maybe I do need jammers too, which can be very expensive...

There's some videos on laser jammers in action here:

Radar Detector Reviews - Laser Jammers

But it's not proof of anything. I liked the Corvette video, not sure if it's not all faked though.
