I'm unable to make this plugin work...... not sure why.

sorry that it does not work at once. But i think we find the problem fast.

Enclosed you find a newer pdc.dll file (packed) , please exchange it in your plugin path. This version has only a few more debug strings included to find problems like yours a little bit easier.

PDC-2.0.1.4.zip

First test:
Connect only one unit (rear device) with your computer, restart CF (only to be sure, that nothing in autorefresh is wrong) and then test it again. It must work, because Dejan and i had the same basic situation to develop the tool.

Second test:
Enable debug mode (SETUP DIALOG) and restart CF again.
There must be entries inside the pdc.log file.
Send this file to me.

I just get a USB Certified logo with the range outlines, but seems no data.

That's an indicator, that the usb devices are not found on computer. Can you see these devices by opening the Windows system settings hardware page?

Hi Wolfgang,

Thanks heaps for the new DLL, that seemed to help, as I can now get readings from the sensors using both USB controllers.

I'm only using them for rear detection only on 2 seperate cars so that's working as required.

Just a couple of things.

I have the volume lowering feature turned on and set to 10%, but when I activate the PDC it doesn't lower the volume.

Also, I understand that the original controller beeps as you get closer, but I'd expected the plugin to also have the function to provide a beep as things got closer for those who didn't want to wire up a seperate buzzer....... is this possible ?

Thanks heap for your efforts on this plugin I'm sure I can talk for all who use this forum and your plugins in saying that you are a legend and everyone appreciates the time and effort that you clearly put into these plugins.

the volume lowering feature is not working up to now, if i have time i will include this feature as well.

The function of LOWERING volume is only to be able to better hear the buzzer sound, nothing more

Thanks for the reply.

I understand that the volume lowering is just to make it easier to hear the beeps, but is it possible to have the plugin make the beeps rather than having to wire in an external buzzer ? I'm assuming since the plugin is able to read the distance that it can just use that to beep and increasingly faster rate as the number gets lower..... then could be turned off if the person actually has an external buzzer.

Does that make sense ?

I've also posted in the TPMS thread too, but do you have some process for people to donate towards your time for your efforts as I certainly don't expect you to spend time on this without at least getting something back in return.

I know you don't do it for the money, but if you're going to give up your time to help the community I don't see why we can't give you something back.

A1: Inside every skin path is a car.png file, you can replace it with every other image

I try, but still "nousb.png" shows, how i need do this?
ps. does anyone have vw golf v stw pic?

Q2. Could i use car original rear pdc sensor(why not?)?

The firmware is written to use the signals from a specific type of controller, as far as I know its not generic.

Hi Guys,

This is incredible and am looking forwad to intergrating this into my car.
I have the 4 original censors at the back and a nightvision camera installed and at the front am using the 3 original sensors and the 4th sensor is replaced with a nightvision camera.
Am looking to have these all connected up and working on the pc and any help and suggestions would be appreciated.
I am loking forward to your support

If you read the thread you'll notice this unit has to use specific sensors and controllers not existing ones so you'll need to replace the sensors, your camera should be able to be used however.

if you still see the nousb.png, then the device (front or rear) is not detected or not assigned in SETUP dialog.

You must have working devices connected to car pc!

No! You have to use this specific usb interface board from Roberto. Might be that the original sensors would work, but not the original interface unit.

Hi everyone,
Im back from holidays

Im test plugin only with ! rear device which have PIC v1.00.
For PIC v1.00 you must select PID=2
For PIC v1.10 you must select PID=3

You can't use two same PIC in same PC!!! So If you want use front & rear you must have PIC v1.00 and v1.10!!!

In next days I will test both v1.00 and v1.10 together in same PC...

Device is not connected to PC or you are not set right PID... In PS Holmes application work ok?

As someone write here firmware is writen for use with specific PDC sensors kit...

You can change sensors with new one and then connect it to your PC... I don't think that someone will write application and hardware only for your car or. if he will then he will take you alot of money...
Cheapest way is change sensors...
