Car DashBoard Plugin
Im start on one new project 
It will read speed from GPS or OBD(Selected from settings) and rpm from OBD.
Here is one screnshot of first sucesfull gauge on my plugin... More info in next weeks...

Second one is much nicer. 
Will the range values be user changeable. and also mph kph switch

Yes all will be configurable by editing xml file(all colors, ranges, size's)...

You could add a porgrammable shiftlight. If you know the rpm, you could make a 'light' that goes on between the configured rpm (7000-7500)
Even better, 3 colours:
Green: The optimal range
Orange: Some after green
Red: way too late
It should be prgrammable, because a petrol engine makes way more rpm as a diesel engine (9000 - 5000)

As Im say all ranges will be configurable.
Example:
-Few diferent layouts of gauges
-custum all colors(gauge, pointer...)
-custom all ranges : max speed 100, 200, 1000 what you want also intervals, max rpm 5000, 10000, 1333 so what you want also intervals
-For RPM will be inside RPM gauge digital gague which will show rpm with digits.
-For PRM will be red indicator when you will go over max rpm limit and will start flashing...
So gauges template will be fully changeable...
