Here is a rundown of the Connected Car Developer Challenge contestants:
Garmin Rebellium 3.4 Update + Send to Car by tempgp
This popular Garmin (GMPC) integration plugin app gets a very cool upgrade which allows you to send a route to your CarPC from Google Maps! Very safe, very convenient.
Check out this entry. There's even a video!
CFGPSEvents (GPS Event Engine)
by Sonicxtacy02
This new plugin app is more of an super automation "engine" than a plugin. With CFGPSEvents, you can pre-define GPS "zones" where, when your car enters a zone, you can program CF to perform a specific action. For example, opening your garage door when almost home, or showing your favorite traffic plugin when you're on the way home from work. Very flexible, very useful. Check out Sonic's video
on the entry page.
CFFuelPrices (Fuel Prices)
by Enforcer
You may recognize this classic. This is the newly minted, CFFuelPrices "world edition" which uses your current GPS location to find the closest and cheapest fuel available. Whether you live in the US, UK, France, Germany or Australia and shopping for diesel, petrol, gasoline, autogas, or premium - this single plugin will do the trick.
Check this one out!
Trip Computer by _Dejan_
This handy plugin app uses GPS location to calculate trip data such as your average speed, distance traveled, time driven and time stopped. It also nicely displays your current trip odometer, elevation, speed, heading and other relevant GPS data in the center. Trip Computer allows you to define and track multiple trips. Quite a handy utility for those traveling a lot.

GPSTrack by _Dejan_
GPSTrack is a non-GUI plugin app that can be configured to upload your current GPS location to a web server as you drive. From the admin website, you can see your car's tracks on Google maps and also track other cars running this app. This can be very handy if you have have a teenage driver at home, or a small fleet for your business. No picture available for this non-GUI plugin, but learn more at the admin tracking website.

GPSEngine by _Dejan_
This is an oldie but goodie. This plugin allows users of Standard edition to be able to use apps that rely on having a GPS location available to operate. For example if you are using the above Fuel Prices plugin with CF Standard, but using Garmin Rebellium for your navigation, then location-based plugin apps won't work if Destinator isn't running. This plugin changes that by making GPS data available through the same code interface as CF Navigation, CFNavInfo.
