2000 MX5/Miata EEEPC CarPC (Photos)

After a fair while of development, posting on mp3car forums, I've finally purchased Centrafuse(AU), and am almost ready to install.

Install Specs:

2000 Black MX-5/Miata
EEEPC 900mhz, 2Gig Ram, 2GB RAM
Lilliput 701 7" Touchscreen
80gb 2.5" USB HDD, 4GB SSD
Compro U500 USB Digital TV Stick
GPS USB SiRF Star III BU-353
Bybyte Double Din LCD Frame (701) and 99-7505 MX5 Mount Kit
SiLab USB FM Stick
Jaycar Digital TV Powered Antenna
Dealextreme.com Wifi USB Adapter + External Antenna
Dealextreme.com 7Port USB Hub
Antec Big Boy 200 20cm Fan
Jaycar Professional Electronics Enclosure

Notes: Case nor TFT is finalised, as you can see I have'nt 'stuck' the screen yet, the edges are still showing. Hopefully this weekend I can get it all together neatly

what year is your MX-5? how's it drive? i've been looking for a cheap one for a while now..

also where did you get that Double din beazel for your screen, i'm having trouble finding one

The MX-5 is an early 2000 model. It drives beautifully, puts a smile on my face around every corner. I never want to sell it

hey all!

looks like the mp3car threads more active, but since this is the CF thread I just wanted to add

+1 to the CF team. I drove from Melbourne to Merimbula New South Wales, about 550km's, or 350 miles using CF 2 and its navigation... it performed perfectly. On top of that, I've been using CF for months, and it has performed very well (occasional freezes, hoping the new patch will fix this, but also likely due to my specific hardware) but generally I'm very happy.
