Release Notes for Centrafuse 4.0.14 Final

NOTE: This is mostly complete, but we'll be adding new Known Issues to the bottom as we find them. These will be collected through user feedback of support tickets. Submit a support ticket through your account page if think you have found a bug. Please be sure and include the reproduction steps and include a system log.

New Features / Enhancements

Defects Fixed

o Fixed successive paging list position issue where last list item was unreachable

o Fixed strange black box briefly appearing upon exit

o Extra code to catch/suppress WMV playback errors
o Added support back for video playback over USB devices

- Navigation

o Dialing POI now possible (assuming Phone is active)
o Problem w/ multiple Nav engines. Fixed so only one is loaded at a time.
o Entering lat/long directly now possible (DMS only, no decimal yet)
o Odd street name text casing where some letters randomly capitalized

- Sat Radio (XM/Sirius)

o Sat radio continues playing when switching to media player
o Channel image flashes on/off
o Mini-visualization not working

- Other

o Ability to delete system folders/files is now disabled by default
o Exit button not visible from multi user feature
o Reset license not working
o Web – default text size lowered in web browser

o Fixed rendering issue with HTML emails w/ black backgrounds

Known Issues

- Core

• Centrafuse freezes/hangs at startup for non-US English users of Win7/Vista. - See the CF 4.0.26 patch release notes
• Centrafuse freezes or hangs when trying to rebuild your Music library (System/Library/Rebuild) or upon initial setup. Workaround: Install SQLCE - See this KB Item

- Centrafuse Connect

• Displays 'You are not authorized for this service'. Workaround: check user account in Settings, then restart CF, try again.

- Bluetooth Handsfree

• Slight UI delay on call connect on some systems due to unfixed defect w/ certain BlueSoleil configurations.

- WiFi (minor)

• Minor spacing issue on connect to new network dialog

- Navigation (minor)

• Issue entering Lat/Long input: Cannot enter decimal based GPS coords; currently only supports deg. min. seconds (DMS) mode.

- Multi monitor (minor)

• Position indicator appears on radio buffer header on secondary screen until track details is activated.

- Infrequent or user/app-specific issues

• Voice recognition will not work when using both Mic input and Line input (any radio) on the same sound device. Must get a USB sound card for voice rec, if you use the line-input for anything.
• Using a voice command while certain streaming audio apps may not mute the playback. Voice command may work if spoken loud enough. Should be fixable by developers.
• Some users may not be able to use voice music search for all audio tracks. We are continually refining this by finding new escape characters that cause the voice rec grammar engine to fail. This is a work in progress, and it will be continually improved w/ user feedback.
