Are "transreflective liquid crystal display" and TMR (transmissive micro reflective the same thing)? Or is there a difference?

However, I am still looking for a good 8" widescreen display. There seems to be no Xenarc model, only the Lilliput, and the ones LinITX has to offer are not available as TMR/transflective in 8".

Has anyone seen something suitable around?

8" widescreen doesn't exist I'm affraid. 7" has a 16/9 resolution, where 8" is 4/3. this is a new model they have at cartft it's basically the same as the CT700-H but with transflective instead of TMR, a bit to expensive if you ask me.
Anyway My Xenarc 700tsv is starting to back out on me, but I think I'm going for the CT700-H

That's not absolutely correct. There _are_ 8" widescreen displays, I have even seen a 8.4" screen but that was a bit too big. It just seems that they are all "standard" with absolutely no TMR or transflective models on the market. That is what puzzles me.

It looks like I'll have to decide between

http://linitx.com/viewproduct.php?prodid=10877

and the Lilliput (http://digitalww.com/store/proddetai...prod=889GL80NP)

Tough. Both look pretty much the same specs...

I like the 8" Lilliput screen, it's really nice and have not had issues with it. I can make the screen transflective if you'll like.

Hi MarcelP, could you tell me what size 3M Vikuiti™ ARMR200 you used for your touchscreen?

and do you stick to the the touchpanel overlay or to the screen underneath?

I have transflective screens available, same product as MP3car's, but cheaper. I can also upgrade any screen that you already might have.

Comparison between a Xenarc and an upgraded Lilliput.

The actual product is sent out to an outside company for enhancement. They replace the touchscreen and they enhance the LCD.
