VD2 - "True BMW" - Orange Skin (Dialup Beware) - Centrafuse Auto

Thanks to Zorro, I've finally been able to realize a version of Centrafuse that I feel conforms to the look-n-feel of the LCD displays in BMW's -- the Orange'ish dot-matrix-style.

I am not releasing this today, but giving screenshots, as there are a few technical issues I'm still working out with:
OSK (On Screen Keyboard)
Web
Weather
... and a couple of other items which you can see from the screenies.

I'm very interested to know what others think about it. I've been working with Zorro on some other items within VD2, and hope to have these few issues cleared up so I can release this skin to everyone.

Note: This says 'True BMW' for the skin -- but honestly, anyone with the orange/amber'ish cluster/guage/etc in their car can certainly use this to match.

The clock should be a little bit bigger for those in the back who keep asking "What time is it?"

Credit really goes to Zorro for making skinning this 'easy'... I still have some tweaks left to do as you can see.

Generally I like it but I think it's just a little too orange. It looks like the old Hercules monitors (Showing my age now!)!

I'm no expert but how about adding a little dark gray to help tone it down.

Otherwise, looking good.

Money... can not wait to use it. I am looking for one to match fo rthe day time, for black and orange is hard to see with the sun.

Hey, thanks for the feedback guys. :-)

I also thought it was 'money' AnandP83... however I tested it today on a full-out day trip. Sadly it was nearly impossible to see during the day -- makes a decent 'night' skin though -- but even then, it looks more Red than Orange, compared to the instrument/temperature gauges.

I'm going to re-mod (brighten -- sorry PhilT) the orange, and hope for an even brighter contrast with letters. I've got a 7" Xenarc, and it feels like it's just super dull ... so hopefully brightening it will do the trick.

Then there's the bugs I've got to work out. But I certainly plan on releasing it herosp77 :-)

I too have a Xenarc.. and if it were not for the auto on/av2 auto switching, i would have went with a transreflective screen....
