Help! Problem with CF version of Bluesoleil

Hi all,

I have searched quite rigorously, but I have not been able to find any helpful info. I have the DBT-120 dongle which apparently works well with CF. I have installed the latest version of CF but Bluesoleil will not work.

When using CF, I try to click search for phones or select default phone... nothing happens when I do this. I then check bluesoleil in the tray and its grey. I try to enable bluetooth and it says "cannot start bluetooth.. bluetooth hardware is not found" Thus I assume this is why CF cant do anything.

I see the dongle is installed properly in device manager. Also, I removed CF, and installed the latest version of bluesoleil (which I know wont work with CF) and it installs and when I reboot, it shows blue and it all works. I also can use the software which came with the dongle and that works too. It appears to be an issue with the CF version of bluesoleil...

Also in the Bluetooth Places area, "My Device" has a red X on it (as opposed to the most recent version of bluesoleil which clearly shows a connection)

Can anyone help? I am just about to purchase CF (using trial right now) but I am holding out since I cant get the phone to work. Also, im using 32bit Vista.

So I decided to change the driver for my DBT-120. I uninstalled it and manually installed a driver. I added Bluetooth USB and it gave me a compatibilty error but it proceeded and installed. Now I can use bluesoleil with my phone.

HOWEVER, it still does not work from CF. IT just says error enabling phone.

Perhaps a good question to as of everyone is what drivers should I use for my DBT-120 so both CF and BS recognize it? It seems to be related to the driver choice.

Well after many hours, I solved this problem. I needed to do the inf hack then reboot everything. Its working now with my Samsung u740!! Hope this helps if someone else has this issue

Hi,

Can you please share with us what INF hack you did? I'm also having problems with CF trying to work with my phone after I updated to the latest Bluesoleil. CF kept saying "Bluetooth not initialized".

Wich last BlueSoleil?? You need to install the Bluetooth-Stack wich comes with CF! (currently V6.2.227.10)

You can post your VID and PID of your Bluetooth-Stick, and i added it.
((i need this: USB\VID_0A12&PID_0001/5&A4FDFF3&0&2))

Ýes, as Scott said, you must use the CF stack provided. I added my dongle Hardware IDs to the inf files as posted in another thread. (Search for INF hack). It explains everything there. I rebooted a few times and voila...
