I got the new 3GS which has tethering already enabled. I just got it connected via bluetooth to my carPC. I also put a shortcut in my startup menu to the iPhone personal area network so it connects automatically.

although i just realized that my carPC hibernates instead of a full boot.

i have to test it out a little more since I just kinda went out to my car for 5 minutes to see if it connects hehe

There are several options for tethering on a Jailbroken iPhone. Also I 100% recommend Jailbreaking your iPhone as there are several great program on there that Apple will never let into the App store.... can you say multi-tasking?

I am also decided to buy iphone 3gs. I have one last question about it.
In either usb tethering or wi-fi tethering, I learned that iphone can be used as phone also. I'm curious about when tethering, when I receive a call, will I be able to use bluetooth at the same time, because headset system is via bluetooth.
So simply, will I be able to use my headset when I receive a call, while tethering is on?
